Orange Walnut Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup fresh-squeezed orange juice (1-2 oranges)
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • Zest from oranges
  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries
  • 2 teaspoons agar agar
  • ¼ cup coarsely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. In saucepan, combine water, orange juice, sugar, and zest. Heat on medium until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add cranberries, and cook until all cranberries pop.
  3. Add agar agar and cook until thickened, approximately 1-2 minutes
  4. Stir in pecans.
  5. Cool and refrigerate before serving.
